Chilton is a piece of crap. I was cutting a twisty last week, hit some water, and smacked the side of my right front wheel into a curb at about 40mph. Bent the right side: wheel, tension rod, lower control arm, and inner tie-rod. Chilton says to hit the side of the housing to release the lower control arm bolt. Yeah right. I tried a tie-rod seporator and banged the shi* out of the housing, the bolt, and everything else for hours. I guess I pissed off the people in my apartment complex because a tow truck came to get me. I had to throw my car together quickly and limp to another location. That Nazi even followed me but I guess he realized he didn't have legal cause to tow me since my car was mobile. The next day i had to walk up to a total strangers house and ask them if I could borrow their driveway to complete my work as I was afraid the tower would come to get me again in the apartment parking lot. They obliged. I ended up having to take off the entire rotor assembley to get a dead center hit on the bolt. As soon as I did that mother fuc**r finally let go. Lesson learned: take off the entire rotor assmebley to take off lower control arm. Thank you, I feel better.
