Recently joined these forums as I saw a RB25 section on here and recently purchased a 1993 R33 Skyline GTS25-t with the RB25DET S1 Auto in it. I'm very annoyed by cars that don't have a very stable idle. Which this 26 year old car does not have.

It starts and idles after I cleaned the maf (has a very inconstant and sometimes weak idle and would die at idle).
I have not cleaned or done anything with the AAC or ecu yet, because I want to keep those where they are and fix what seems to be an electrical issue. So onto the issue.

When I was troubleshooting the dying issue I first looked to adjust the TPS as the last two owners said the TPS needed replaced. I adjusted it using the OHM and the voltage method. It currently sits at a perfect 0.500v fully closed. Check the source wire shows 5v, dont know if its supposed to be 5v or 12v. Engine runs for a while I double check the TPS... it now hovers around 0.050 volts as well as the source voltage and I can tell the engine idles a little rougher but not much. I also tested the harness side wires with the tps unplugged same readings. Wiring looks okay as far as I can tell. Has anyone know of this issue and the possible cause and fix for it? Thank you.

i mean it could actually be a dying/dead tps...tps voltage should be around 0.45-0.5v at idle/closed throttle and 3.8-4.5v wot.
if the voltage is changing at idle while you're doing absolutely nothing to it chances are the tps is on its way out.
reference voltage for the sensor is 5.0v from the ecu.
