Low stock?

I was checking local dealer inventory and noticed that most dealers only carry 1-3 in vehicles in stock. Any specific reason? Did they already stop production due to a new body style? Is it the economy and the publics less of a need for a SUV? Is it because the MPG's being low for a V6?
