low rpms when turning at a stop. plz help

hi im new to Nico club but i got a question i have a 1993 240sx vert that when you turn the wheels it kinda makes a low grinding noise and the rpms drop by almost 500 what could this be i was thinking power steering pump or lines.

Could be a worn or damaged rack & pinion, a pump thats about to go out, a large leak in the lines thats causing a loss of pressure so the pump n rack dont work right, or it could be just a low fluid level so check all those especially your fluid cause thats the easiest.
