Folks,

The other day I was turning into my driveway from about 15mph. Halfway into the turn (900rpm and 7-8mph) my steering assist became intermittent.

On a cold start, it feels sporadic at idle. Over 1200rpm is fine.

I'm assuming belt tension (as it needs to be changed), but I was trying to find diagnostic procedures in FSM and was unable to find it.

Can anyone locate this diag procedure in FSM? No luck here.

gettin cold outside...all that lucas stop leak is getting stiff is all....if it is bothering you that much, get a turkey baster and flush it. Then replace the fluid with dex III transmission fluid, but it will still be stiff....

I don't use Lucas stop leak.

Clearly there is a different issue, as the past 5 winters where it was just as cold didn't produce this issue.

Again, can anyone find diagnosis procedures in the FSM? Took a look today over fresh coffee, still missing it.
