whats up everyone! i have an issue with my 89 240sx which happens to be my first nissan. here it is.

anyway im having issues with bogging at low rpm. when its under 2400 rpm it bogs out. it doesnt die, but it hesistates. it only does it under partial throttle too. if i stab the throttle when its not driving, it revs up fine. and if i launch it it will take off fine. i've already put in a new fuel filter and spark plugs. im a noob at nissans but not new to working on cars. i just need some insight from the pro's you know? oh also it throwsan egr valve ecu code but only on the freeway at steady speed

have you checked if you have a Vaccume Leak ??

you can do this by the engine running and Lightly spraying Brake Cleaner around the Vaccume Hoses, If you Idel goes up you have a vaccume leak on that hose and need to change it. If it stays the same that hose is good.

Thanks for the help man!

I ruled that out since I don't have an erratic idle but I'll definately try that anyway. While I'm at it im gonna try cleaning the MAF and EGR too. There is also a strong smell of un burnt or partially burnt exhaust fumes in the car. Maybe egr clogged?

Yes it's possible do to the carbon particles building up in the EGR you can clean it with Brak cleaner and a wire brush or screw driver..
