I know this should probably be in General but for some reason I can't post there, go figure.

But anyway, I'm looking for a low profile headlight kit similar to the one that Clearcorners.com offers. I'd get theirs but its a IN HOUSE only install and they are in Cali and I'm in TX, so I'm not driving all tat way to ahve headlights installed.

Anyone know of any other kits? Idon't like the East Bear one, I still want them to pop up and all.

I figured a way to make the headlights flip open like.. 3" from the bumper, so it makes it very slim appeal... after actually doing it, and gettign a good hard look at it.. I didnt like it..

what i did was take off the black headlight surround plastic guarder thing.

on the inner part of the headlight flip up housing there is a old screw that was used for hte black plastic surround..

i removed the little screw holder that was in there, and there was a big square hole.. i went to home depot, and found a bolt that was smooth headed, with a square in front of it, followed by a bolt.. 3/8 to be exact..

then i used the stock headlight actuator arm, and popped it off the flip up part.. Moved it to that plastic trim location, bolted it in, and then tested it out.. headlight closed to a stock height, and raised 3" off the bumper...

Then you have to make all the custom brakcets for holding lights... other than that, its not hard at all..

GL..- Im going to be making flush mount headlights.. i believe it will be better.

wait!!! you are supposed to send then the headlight assembley first then they install them. they do it that way because they wont just send out the parts so you can fark then up. i would just but some headlight assemblies first then ship them out. once they comeback just swap them out.http://www.clearcorners.com/FAQ/

i'm thinking about making my own. 1050 bucks is way to much. if it wer 300 using refurbished parts from another car car then i'd do it! (dare i say, silvia head light projectors)
