So I'm noticing that my 92 coupe is starting to loose power with my KA. I'm guessing fuel filter or pump. What other common problems are there? How could you know when your injectors are bad? To end this, I wanted to know if you could use the walbro 255 fuel pump with the KA. Reason is I'll be doing an sr swap in the future and didn't wanna buy an other one. Thanks guys

Is this recent? Like it just happened out of nowhere? The first thing I would do is check my grounds.

MAF, maybe? To check if your injectors are bad, start your engine and unplug each injector. Your engine should misfire. If it doesn't, then that injector is bad.

you could try the filter, how long has it been in there? try cleening the maf. wouldnt bother with the injectors only becouse if they were bad, you'd have noticed other than low power, like at idle. also, you could pull out your plugs and see if there fould or old. Mainly just regular maintanence stuff like that

I changed the plugs just for the hell of it. It ran a little smother but didn't help. I guess I could try cleaning the MAF. I never had to worry about that before, wowuld I notice if it is getting to dirty?

when its real dirty youll get alot of stumling and kinda like a clogged air filter almost. its just something i do every so often. how old are your plug wires/how do they look? you could also open and check your cap n rotor. like i said, just maint stuff.

change filter, clean MAF, it's not injectors or pump..if your car runs.. check cap and rotor, check your grounds at your motor sounds fishey but a bad ground can make your coil power weak. good luck

Thanks guys. I figured it out. I was noticing a significant amount of power loss on the way to work today. It always sounded electrical to me because it wasn't jolting like like a fuel problem. Then it was really loosing power and the radio kept turning off and turning back on like when I turn the car on. So I go and check all the electrical stuff and found the main power wore to the alternator hanging by a thread. I checked it out and accidentally broke it off. Luckily I was at work so I crimped on a nice new terminal and screwed it back on with the nut. It didn't start, and sounded like the battery was dead. Jumped it, runs great. Being there was so little wire to pass current threw, there was to much resistance and didn't charge the battery and the ca pretty much ran of the battery on the way to work. so that's all from me guys. Thanks.
