Low oil pressure at idle

I got a sr redtop with no mods. I just put it back on the road after parking it for 3 months. I changed the oil and filter 4 quarts (always put 4 no problems) mobil 1 10w-40 with mobil filter. The problem is after it gets up to tempurature the oil light comes on when sitting at idle, if I crack the throttle a little it goes away and comesback when the revs drop back to idle. Never had this problem before. The idle is steady at 850rpm and i have a new oil pan, and a frsport pickup with a new gasket. I'm gonna get a oil pressure gauge and see whats really going on.

Anyone had this happen before? Could the pressure sensor be bad?

oil pressure should be 11psi at idle when warm

Could be, hope not. How's the engine looking Archie? You get everything straightened out with the cops?

Install an oil pressure gauge to find out.

Typically if that light is coming one you're in need new new bottom end bearings.

The engine is coming together slowly, I just bought the CAS and a transmission. NJ police seem to love me, but other then that I'm still waiting on my attorney. When I come up for court we need to get together.
