I have known Erik Rummel for YEARS and have witnessed first hand how he will say and do whatever he can to do whatever he wants. He manipulates, lies, and flashes a smile, and sadly most people give in to him. I can't urge strongly enough for people to sue him, report him to the BBB, whatever they can to make things right. He will NEVER change his mind and decide to make things right on his own. It's time someone made him grow up and face his responsibilities. Just think... what kind of father, or stepfather, allows their kids to sleep on the floor of a poorly ventilated, poorly heated/cooled automotive shop? This guy cares that little for his own children. What makes you think he's going to care at all about your cars?

Yep. Erik (and the shop) were in Quakertown, then Allentown, and now are back in Quakertown again. My best friend was his girlfriend, and managed the shop, and there used to be a lot of guys that worked hard and knew what they were doing working with Erik. In the past year and a half since she left the shop, apparently so have all of the reputable people that worked there, along with Erik's morals and business sense.

And in case anyone thinks that it's a case of a woman scorned, she kept quiet for a year and a half and let him handle his own business while carrying 30,000 of his debt created to get the shop up and running. After giving him the benefit of the doubt for that long, and now seeing how bad the shop is getting (cars catching fire???) and Erik barely paying the interest on the money, I don't think it's that hard to see why she no longer feels like protecting him or putting up with it.

I actually called him and told him about the mathematical errors in the bill that he wrote up for me, plus all the parts I paid for that weren't installed or even given to me....and parts that he took off my car that I wanted back. He told me he would look over the errors and if there was anything wrong he would correct it and refund me. Never heard back from him and he never even took one of my calls or emails again. Then I got the BBB involved and they couldnt do anything either....

Not surprising at all. He's NEVER wrong. Even if there is indisputable evidence right in front of him. He'll still try to talk his way out of it. And his wife isn't any better, and she's the one helping him run the shop now. It's really a shame because Erik is good at what he does, he's just not motivated to do it right anymore.

Please allow me to bring this thread back to life, for the sake of any future "customers".

This guy has changed the name of his "shop" to Rummel Autosports. I ordered a Z32 clutch pedal and clutch master cylinder months ago. When I received the package, I opened it up and it was NOT from a Z32. He told me it was from a JDM Z32 (bullsh@t), and that he would refund my money. He promised several times to refund my money, then stopped replying to my emails. I requested a refund through Paypal, but it wasnt an authorized purchase.

I'm only out $65, but this is a warning to ANYONE wanting to buy parts from him.

I gave him the option to refund my money, or I would post all the email correspondance we had (where he agreed that he sent the wrong part, and where he agreed to a refund). He threatened to sue me. HAHA Looks like his knowledge of the law is about as good as his knowledge of good business practices.

He has until Monday August 31st to send me my measly $65, or I will start a new thread with the emails I mentioned earlier.

EDIT - Erik Rummel has finally refunded the money I was owed.

Low Life Kustomz.. I still chuckle at the name.

Most marketing guys will tell you that you need to build a brand that inspires honesty and trust not one that makes you feel like you're a victim of a mugging.

erik is a good mech. but his work can be a little sloppy sometimes i had him put new tension rods in my car and he did not even attempt to adjsut them when he put them in my car, my caster was off so much.

The last time i went up there my cas broke and it was 75 for the diagnosis and when i got there i gave him 80 and he said he didnt have change so i was like ehh okay so i gave him my new cas i bought to put in and he wouldnt do it even though he gave me no change it seriously takes 2 secs to put a cas in.

i have had both good and bad experiences with erik rummel

ps they are moving... again
