low idle...stalling

hey everyone...i got a little problem.my 95 240sx started idling real low while im driving, when i push in the cluth and brake. somtimes going so low it jus dies, causing my power steering to go out n if im turning i've almost crashed. but soon as i come to a complete stop the idle jumps back up to 1000rpms...

any ideas? i did a search on the forums and i found a lot of ppl asking this almost EXACT question but none that had an anwser, or one i could understand atleast...im not too engine sauvy...
