A simple question for you guy's. When you turn your ignition to the on position does your "low fuel indicator light up with the other warning lights.

Mines not working and I'm trying to figure out if it's the bulb (which should light up with the other idiot lights) or if its the float sensor in the tank that screwed

I figure it's just the bulb. But looking for conformation.

Thanks

there is a sensor that indicates low fuel level-it can normally be aquired at the dealer seperate form the fuel sender assy-depending on model-just ask and they will be able to tell you if that is the case for your car

good luck!!

got an s13 and ive never seen it on, ive run it sow low on gas that it has cut out on slight inclines too.

also, my owners manual says my s13 has a 15 7/8 gallon tank, but if i run it to "e" on the gauge, i only get about 12 gallons in there. is there some freaky near-four gallon reserve or something? has my car just been messing w/ me and it actually has a ton of gas left? if so, im gonna be soooo much more lazy with getting gas.

ditto w/ ace... i never want to suck up the sediments on the bottom of the gas tank & choke the fuel pump/clog the strainer/injectors...

PS: when u guys do the walboro fuel pump upgrade/replacement, do you clean out the bottom of the gas tank?

Being in Canada I looked at my manual and found that I have a 60 Litre tank. Usually when I fill up I only can get in 50L. So I figured I just wasn't going low enough into the tank to set off the indicator. The other day I decided I would test it an ran my car to the point of running out of gas. I managed to get it going long enough to roll into a gas station.

When I filled up I put in 60.24L of gas. CAN YOU SAY EMPTY!.

So obviously my Low Fuel Indicator does not work.
