Anyone else having trouble with their low fuel warning. it sometimes turns on and goes directly to 30 miles left, then minutes later will say 0 miles left. very inconsistent to the point where I really don't know how much gas is left and have to immediately find a station. I know it can depend some on angle of the car, but i can't find a pattern, it just jumps all over the place.

thanks.

Mine will vary up and down according to how hard I'm driving. My main complaint with the low fuel warning light is that even when I run it down to zero miles left there still is over 3 gallons of fuel left in the tank. I appreciate a margin of error but that is a little too much.

Mine will jump +/- 15 MPG if I'm really getting on it for a few minutes, but then settle down after I drive normally for another few minutes.

My suggestion is don't pay attention to the fuel info and pay more attention to your gas gauge. My low fuel light on my 06 comes on consistently with about 3 gallons left when its at the tick below 1/4 tank.

Mine also but since reading about fuel pump overheating, I now fill up at the 1/4 mark. I purchase all my gas on a credit card that is paid in full every month. That way I do not have to carry cash around to purchase gas. $3.95 a gallon in NJ. Regular of course

Don't let gas go too low in your cars. Fuel pump could be struggling to keep pace with pumping fuel. Keep at least 1/4 tank of gas in your car at all times.

$4.80 for premium here!

I'm going to clean off the fuel level sensor probably next weekend (this weekend is too busy). Then I'll weigh the back seat while I'm at it lol.
