Low fuel pressure?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi! I have Infiniti ex 30 3.0d and two weeks the car is in the box. The problem is, when the car is hot and fully accelerated, the check engine lamp lights on. Diagnostic says: "low fuel pressure". Changed fuel filter and pipes, doubt is pressure regulator or fuel pump, but I don't agree, the car is only 53000km and 4 years old. Any suggestions?

does your fuel tank read correctly when it is full? My pump was replaced under wty due to this.

Yes, it read correctly. The mechanic in service said me yesterday, that there are six cars in EU with the same problem and must replace a plastic tube with valve inside. It is on the exit of the rail. And I'll wait 10 working days to deliver.

Hi there, sry for the off topic but looks like I have the same issue with mine EX35 2009. Mine is gas not diesel. when car is worm and while turning car on, RPMs goes up to 1000 and then drops to 300 and car turns off. Not every time but it happens couple times a week.
When it's engine cold RPMs goes to 2000 and slowly dropping to 800 which is fine.

Any idea why would this happened?

Thanks!

Tomica
