Low fuel pressure....89 240sx hatch sohc

I'm just wondering if there are any other related problems to why I have such low fuel pressure. When idling, I only have 26psi....and from what I've researched it should be somewhere around 36psi. And when I'm full throttle, I still have only around 24psi....and I think from what I've researched it should be 43psi. I ran the fuel pressure gauge right before the hard pipe to the fuel rail, after the fuel filter. I have a new fuel filter and I'm just wondering if there are any other possible problems other than just needing a new fuel pump. Thanks in advance.

hate to say it but it sounds like the fuel pump went bad. try replacing it and u should be good to go.

also try to check for leaks along the fuel line. that could cause low fuel pressure too.

Thanks....I will be putting a new fuel pump. I checked the lines last week when I had the car up on a lift...didn't see anything. Just hoping it's not anything else....rather take care of it all at once instead of keep fighting with it. Thanks.
