Anybody know anything about the Low Fuel indicator?

I have a G35 Coupe, and recently got low on fuel (not quite to "E") and a GREEN indicator light came on, just under the fuel gauge. It took 17.3 gallons (and if this is right, it still had 2.7 gal. left).

As I don't usually associate GREEN indicator lights with warning conditions I'm wondering if there is a different indicator as it gets yet emptier??? Does Nissan/Infiniti use multiple colored lights as a warning system in other models?

Not that I'm aware of... In the Q it's a text message where the dual trip meters are. Every other Nissan product I've owned just has an amber low fuel light.

If you would like, I can check that out for you.

Just mail me a plane ticket, and I'll drive your car around, until it runs out of gas. I better verify the operation a few times.

I may need to keep your car 2 weeks, or so, but I will only charge you for the actual seat time in the car. What can I say? I have a servant heart, and it shows.:icesangel

Stu, check the owner's manual. All the indicator lights are usually explained, there. If that is no help, try the servcie department, where you got it. There are a few G35 owner here.

Try posting this question on the G35 Coupes & Sedans forum. It is listed under the car specific Forums.

As far s I can remember Nissan has always used a 3 gallon minimum to activate the low fuel light...........it won't always be perfect but close.....assuming 50 miles to a station worst case.

Letting your fuel drop below 1/3 of a tank [often] is a sure way to have pump problems later!
