the only reason why i didn't fill her up because my buddy stripped 1/2 the screws and did'nt put the seal on. so if i had more than 1/2 a tank the gas would spill out and there would be smell too.
Stay away from your "friend then".

i hate to start an argument here but umm...i looked at how the pump is sitting and in order to keep this baby cooled your gonna have to have at least more than a 1/2 tank. otherwise i seen some goofy device on top of the pump...looks like something that may let some fuel on top of the pump...but i move on.
I actually agree with you but most say 1/4 way full or more so it caught on. I remember when Brian AKA Maxnix said to keep the tank 1/2 full to keep the pump cool. I have no idea why it changed to 1/4 full.

so your saying the fuel pump computer has something to do with the low fuel sensor?
i cause i grounded the wire on the fuel pump assembly itself...still no low fuel light. i think i'm gonna take a look at it in my fsm tonight.
The Fuel Pump Control Unit relay what the sensor read too the Diagnostic Display. And the service manual says it has to be tested....
When you say you grounded the fuel pump do you mean you grounded it as a way to make it run at full speed to get home (By pass the FPCU)?
Because according to the service manual you must connect a bulb inline along with connecting wires to the two pins on the fuel pump (Blue) connector. Look at the service manual for more info....
