i have an sohc auto, for now ( swaping in a 5 speed soon ). wanted to know what i could do to build up my low-end, i just can't take the lag going from a dead stop, :( takes so much time to get "up there". acceleration is not horrible, just takes more then a while. my baby is in excellent shape, taken good care of. figure the intake and n1 dual moderately help, well the exhaust is probably more mid and highs, and i wanted to get the hs headers, but that might slow me even more considering those are more for the high end, so.... help me out... talk to me guys, any suggestions are welcome... thanks.

...:D not exactly the answer i was looking for, but thanks for the input.. you know when you're sittin in traffic...you're in the farthest left, and the guy in front of you all the sudden decides to try and make a left turn, and you're stuck there... waiting... you put your right turn signal and wait to switch lanes... then you see it... a gap, in your right side mirror behind the van that's about to pass you on the right... here's your chance.... and you hit the gas and you barely move... yeah.. that's what i want to fix... that two to five second pause ... am i just being stupid and anal about all this.. is there anything logical and not so expensive that i can do that doesn't require "a turbo..." or a "bottle of nitrous"... any comments people?

Gearing? Of course, my car is designed to start in second gear, so that might not really apply.
