Low Compression On 4?

92 fastback, redtop SRI did a compression test due to the smoke my SR's been blowing, and these are the numbers:

1- 1352 - 1303 - 1304 - 115

That was a dry test. Any ideas as to the problem on cyl. 4? I had no spare oil and was in kinda of a hurry ( ), so I couldn't verify a bad ring, but I'm hoping it may just be valve seats or the like?

Any help would be appreciated, if anyone needs more info, just ask

I am assuming you have been running the car.....based upon that I would say it is time for rings before you cause more damage.

I've taken it around the block a few times, other than that I haven't been driving it. The only time I've had it running is in my driveway idling for only a few mins at a time

I was gonna start with the most minor possibility first, which I guess would be carboned up valves? And see if cleaning helps compression. You think rings would be a more definite cause?

I'll pick up rings when I have more than $2.50 in the bank to be safe.

I would just to be safe, it is pretty cheap insurance, and as long as you haven't scored the walls you could fix this yourself for about $150.....you would need new head gasket too because the head would have to come off and a tube of good rtv to reseal the oil pan.

Also, get the head resurfaced before putting it back on.
