Low Compression in CYL #2 on stock S13 SR20DET

hey guys. i just did a compression test on my S13 SR20DET and this is what i came up with...

cyl 1 160cyl 2 135cyl 3 160cyl 4 160

hmmmmmm... no smoke... any ideas?

try to add a lil oil in the low compression cylinder and try again to see if the compression goes up. im not sure could be piston rings or valvesbest thing would be to run a leak-down test on the motor to trace the problem.

could be a piston ring.

but since its only the 1 cylinder, im inclined to say something along the lines of a loose valve.

i tried adding some oil... compression stayed the same... so i guess its in the valvetrain. im doing a topend clean tonight or tomorrow. hope that works

A leakdown tester is a better way to find your problem. I'd check the valve seat and the back of the valve itself, Maybe something is stuck between the 2? Good luck, it's never a good thing when things like this happen. I always end up with the shaft, which isn't fun.

we did a top end clean on my car and the smoke has seemingly stopped. compression i cant really tell whats up with it.. its much different than it was last time... now all 4 cyl are coming within 145-135 and im absolutely confused... it should be 160-150ish.. no? oh well
