Hey everyone,

My s13 ka24e clutch pedal went to the floor so I replaced the master cylinder. It goes halfway up now and every time I try to bleed it, fluid leaks past the threads in the bleeder screw. Should I just keep trying to bleed the clutch while barely opening the thread? Should I try replacing the slave cylinder too? Im barely loosening the screw before it leaks past the threads.

Thanks guys

mac, that's not kosher how a bleeder works ,if that's one of the "New" parts -probably rebuilt- the WRONG bleeder screw might have been installed ,Can 'try' getting the 1/2 dozen "shaped" bleeder screws (w/same thread of course) from like NAPA and see if it opens an closes off like it should - otherwize bring the part back/ or replace it.This 'try' - better sometimes than redo-ing ALL that work completely over again :yesnod

I replaced the clutch master cylinder but not the slave. The bleeder screw in there is the original one which is weird. I’ll probably go by a parts store and grab a bleeder screw and go from there. Cheapest option first :rotfl

Does anyone know the size and thread of the bleeder screw off hand? Before I get the wrong one from the parts store guy.

Take the existing slave with you and pray that the counter person is not a 19 year doper !
