low beams don't come on

my low beams are screwed. It's an H4 conversion. The plug gets 12v when the switch turns on, but the instant it goes to ground, the power drops to nothing. (.05v to be exact) it's so weird. I checked the ground. no dice. Checked the other headlight, same story. Any ideas? I was thinking either the turn signal/multi switch, or a relay. Anyone?

rarely the relays..

the first thing i always do with skyline or 180sx is clean and sand the contacts works 95% of times

turns out the main switch was bad. swapped it out with the turn signal/headlight assembly from another 240 and she works like magic. Now just need to order one. Rock on!
