I just had the alt and battery replaced and it still says low battery charge and the antilock light and brake lights will not turn off

what could be the problem with my car?

Those are the 3 lights that come on in the instrument cluster when the alternator is going bad. Check your battery voltage (12v) and the charging voltage (14v+).

Yes it was a new alt

When I test it shows 12v off and 14v when the car is on at idle

thanks

with the heater on full blast and the headlights and my system up loud it will drop to 12v at idle but go back up if I increase the rpm

its the altenator man. I had same issue. If you take the the altenator out of the car and test it @ autozone or something you will find out it is bad. I had mine tested twice in the car and they said it was fine...when I removed it and had them test it..it was bad. It was only 4 months old but I had a lifetime warrantee. Do yourself a favor take it out and test it or get stuck in traffic with people flipping you off, and hot chicks laughing and pointing @ you.

For some the alternator on a VH45DE is hard enough to remove to replace it. Who know if its not something else and he went through all that trouble for nothing.

Read this at very least: http://www.aa1car.com/library/charging_checks.htm
