...and then, go check out our RB engine forums!

50 lbs of boost at almost 9K rpm, making 1200 hp. :chuckle:

Think how much more it could make with a 26 head on top. These dyno queens don't really grind my gears. I like keeping the hammer down and motors like that get real hot real quick. I don't see the manifolds or internals staying together on a highway run for more than a minute or two. Even my Hijet heats up to the point I have to back off with all screaming 60 horses after a minute. That beast would melt down with me on the go pedal. I'd rather have 800hp I can beat on with no restrictions.

Yea, 1200Hp isn't very useable. Even in AWD form, I seriously doubt you'd actually be able to put it all down. Well maybe with some R-compounds, but you can't really do that on the street.

No, you can, I've seen cars that do, but they are purpose-built, very hard to deal with day to day and will expect you to back off the fun pedal after a 1/2 mile or so. A local buddy has one. It's f*** brutal.

I love being wrong. That thing is sick. Is it still 2.6L?

Nope, from what I read in that picture, displacement has been increased to 2.7 litres, running 2kg boost (29.4psi) and a T88-38GK turbine.

In that video, watch the ignition wires on the first pull. It looks like the distributor cap moves. But, on watching full view, looks like just the plug wires rotate a bit, but get dangerously close to the cam gear.

2.7 Greddy stroker.

Rick's a rare bird. He has a ruthless car, but he doesn't really do any of the work. A shop down the street from my house does. Normally that bugs me, but he is very much involved in the planning, though, carefully picking every part and he really loves the car. He's not a d!ck about being so fast either. He is just as excited about other guys' cars that are nowhere near his level if they are cool. People with far less car have a hell of a lot more attitude, but Rick is chill and nice as can be. I'm glad he's so fast because there are a lot of slightly fast ***holes who have to STFU when he pulls into the parking lot. :bowrofl:

not to troll but... found a 2jz running 42psi and making 1300whp. that's on a chassis dyno, not an engine dyno measured at the crank, and it's installed in a car that "drives," and i have to qualify that by saying it holds the street about as well as you'd expect. like 30 foot skidmarks from an 80 roll on MT slicks.

of course that's apples to oranges.

Some facts on the 14 cylinder version:

Total engine weight: 2300 tons (The crankshaft alone weighs 300 tons.)

Length: 89 feet

Height: 44 feet

Maximum power: 108,920 hp at 102 rpm

Maximum torque: 5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm

That's not a typo. 5.6 MILLION lb/ft of Torque.

No one does SR20 swaps anymore, everyone is too busy hanging off of LS Juan's nutsack. So I'me sure there's someone, somewhere that thinks it needs an LS1 swap.
