Yaaay!

I finally splurged on a new monitor, my old 15 inch Monitor I bought used 4 years ago for $20.

The world is suddenly so crisp.

You hate them? Nothing but love for my LCD. Eyes don't hurt like they used to with the CRTs.

I've seen mini-fridges and microwaves that are smaller than my monitor... this thing is from the stone age I think. Time for an upgrade..

My eyes hurt from looking at LCDs. Man that's weird.

At any rate, I still like CRTs because I do a lot of gaming and video editing and LCD monitors "aren't there yet" IMO.

Congrats on giving your old eyes a break Fred. j/k :jump

yup lcds imho are no good...unless you step it up to plasma, but other than that yeah...the refresh rate on my monitor is 150@1280x1024 and maximum resolution is 2048x1720@85hz also .22dpi but anyways you have to give crt credit because they have been around for so damn long...and my eyes dont hurt because my refresh rate is so high =D

I opted for a CRT over an LCD because LCD's dont seem to be quite as sharp, especially when playing video. Since my computer is my DVD player, that mattered to me ;) Congrats on a new monitor Fred, new toys are always fun!
