To all u 3.5's i love the 2.5 n wouldnt even think of gettin the 3.5 bc of the gas mileage this thing gets. Its so great best thing to have when the gas is so expensive like this
Ill answer here since he didnt haha. 80mph = ~ 2600rpm depending on what kind of mood the CVT is in haha. as for the dash MPG statement.. Ive checked its accuracy with every tank Ive run through the car so far, and it is always correct at the end of the tank (or whenever I fill back up and calculate it)nightrain wrote:What RPM are you turning at 80 mph?
I think the 3.5 is tuned for power, not mileage, i.e. gear ratios, and injection map. Nissan assumes that if you want the 3.5, you want some kick when you hit the gas. They try to compensate for that by trolling around town at 1500 rpm...
I'm glad you like your 2.5, and they are different motors. I will say the 3.5 is a very satisfying motor to drive and I like the power. Where are you getting your MPG from? Not the dashboard I hope. I can get pretty good mileage too if I keep it at 70 mph or below...
