Yeah it was fun as it always is.I love getting out and checking out some awesome cars.

Louisville Streets is putting on a cool event(Ultimate Street Car Challenge) the weekend after the Indy meet for those who can make both.I wont be running the 1/8 or Auto X but I do plan on going to one or maby both to watch. Here are the details on the event.........

The LouisvilleStreets.com Ultimate Street Car Challenge is open to any legally licensed, road-going cars. Required to compete is your vehicle registration and proof of insurance. Your car must also be running DOT legal tires. Nitrous Oxide systems are not permitted during Autocross portion of the Challenge as per the rules of the SCCA. The first stage of the challenge will take place at Ohio Valley Dragway off of Dixie Highway in south Jefferson Co., and will consist of an 1/8th mile drag on Friday, June 27. Autocross competition will take place at the KY Region SCCA Points Event located at the airfield on Fort Knox on Sunday, June 29. Please be sure to include your full name and current telephone number. Registration fees must be paid in advance of the event and will cover your admission to both parts of the challenge. I still haven't decided on whether or not to compete in the USCC. I would get smoked though cause there are some fast cars in Louisville.

I was wanting to make it out to the AutoX but I had to wait for my new toy to be delivered from HH Gregg :D

Well the thing I got from HH Gregg was a new big screen 55" widescreen HDTV :D

As for my car I should be getting my World Challenge Carbon Fiber lip kit within a few weeks. I need to finish the stinking fiberglass sub enclosure before the end of July which is HIN Chicago (neighbor needs to help a brotha out). Other than that nothing immediately. Oh and my car will be painted as soon as my painter heals up cause he just broke his arm

The Spec will still be the same color but I may add some pearl to the clear but I am still undecided on that one.

Heh! You were there I see! I never saw you. I got there right before the mini hurricane hit and stayed for a bit after it cleared. Then me, Mayhem_J30 and a couple others went to see 2f2f. :)

This is going to be a fun event. I am already registered and will be competing. I'll get owned for sure, but it should still be fun!

I was pretty sure that you would be there Tony. Are you going to have to work at the FT Knox Auto X?

I hope that we can get lots of the Nico people to go and hang out if not compete. It should be lots of fun.I know that many will have a hard time making it after the Indy trip but I thought if I posted something about it early we might get some people involved.

Yeah, Im sure I will be working at both Ohio Valley and at Ft. Knox that weekend for both parts of the event, but I just had to sign up to compete too. It would be hard for me to watch everyone else participating if I didn't!

I'd love to get a bunch of NICO peeps out for this. Hopefully the ones that cannot make it to Indy like me will be able to at least make this one.

I wanted to add, if you are near Louisville and want to sign up for this evet you need to register NOW! Go to http://www.myautoevents.com. On the left click "find an event", then enter Ultimate Street Car Challenge, then click Register. :D

Tony, I dun think he knows about the dual webers yet. I'm gonna own me some carbon fiber.

Of course, there is always the possibilty that I will have the clutch and flywheel in the 88 by then. Ownage multiplied by boost.Turbo:ylsuper (well, it kinda looks like he is holding up TWO fingers for Turbo II):D

Ahhh are you going to be running the Turbo II and not the classic? Hmmm that should make it interesting. And what's with the carbon fiber comment. you trying to say my car is a show pony  All I know is I better be hitting 9.5s or better in the 1/8 but I still have a feeling I will be one of the slower ones

The autocross should be a stronger for my car however considering i have never autocrossed i will likely get owned :help But I am going to make it a good damn efort :D just to beat you James :thinker and Tony :pface

You brought it alright!Nice job throwing down a blazing time today!Speaking of Blazing I got some serious sun-burn out there.LOL Everyone did a great job and I know of one Spec V driver who seamed to get hooked into the Auto X world. It was looking like George in his turbo Miata most likely won the USCC based on both times. He ended up with 1st in the 1/8 instead of 2nd like I had posted. Then today he had the 2nd best time that I saw and the 1st place auto X time was to a person who was not compeating in both. They will post the true results tonight and ill let everyone know.EVERYONE needs to make it out to the next event.....BTW: I was real surprised that a certain Blue EVO VIII was not out there moping up everyone???:D

Actually George ended up placing 2nd and Coleman in the Vette got 3rd. The silver WRX (can't remember his name but very nice guy) ended up taking the top honor by having an awesome run on the AutoX course. He ran a 58sec run whereas Matt and George were in 60sec land which was damn low. I ended up finishing the AutoX 6th in the novice class out of 19 and I even got a trophy so I was quite happy. However I did finish last in Street Mod which is what I would be in if I wasn't registered at the event as a newbie.

And Dane I can't thank you enough for taking video for me of the event. It was greatly appreciated.

Mike thanks again for letting me use your helmet (it was a great help). Everyone gaffled all the damn loaner helmets. I think I am going to have my own AGV helmet for the next event so i don't have to hassle people at the next event. But I appreciate it. And Mike you need to slow down that classic a little so I can run similar times hehehe You beat me by 8seconds I think (Good Job)

And Tony thank you for beating me by a few 100ths in the 1/8th :chainsaw :( but I think I may have gotten you barely in the AutoX :D so I guess it is sorta even hehe. But next time the Spec is coming with a vengeance muhahahaha

It was a really great day, and Cory you forgot to mention that you trophed in the Novice class! :thumbup

The Maxima is a great fast car, but the auto-x course is not it's favorite in stock form. Most of the reason why I want to get the Altima up to speed and race it a coupe of times this year and hopefully compete for points next year. It will be so much better than trying to navigate a 3200 lb in and out of cones. We'll see how it goes!

Thanks Dane, my goal was a 65 and thats what the board showed on my last run. So I'm quite happy, especially only being my 2nd auto x event ever and being in Street Mod. No problem Cory, I think maybe that helmet you borrowed allowed you to drop some time or maybe it was the pep talks in the grid. HAHA. Either way I know how you felt on your first auto x event. It just gets easier from here on out though. I only wish I had some damn auto x tires. That would improve time another 2 sec or so.

Yes the Silver Rex was definately screaming yesterday!!
