i keep on trying to find other 240 owners out here and i just can't seem to find any. wierd isn't it. hey if you or anyone you know lives in louisiana please let me know. I know nismo400r does.

Look no further than Baton Rogue to find me.Just bought my third 240, a cream pearl metallic 93 SE coupe.113k miles, $2200. Stole it from the dude. I'm a mechanic at a motorcycle dealer in Denham Springs. S'posed to take my 'busa on a p0ker run weekend after next that's gonne end in Covington. Keep your eyes peeled for the Indigo Blue Pearl 'busa blowin' by ya.

Know where there's a junkyard full of 240's around us?Lookin' for a few trim pieces on the cheap.

Have any proof to back this up? Because it seems so rare that I bet even Nissan never heard of it.:rolleyes

A quick google seems to shed some light on the matter. A search for "217 1998 240sx" produces several results aimed at horsepower figures in the 217 range but they are all for the SR20DET. Are you actually going to claim your N/A KA24DE makes as much power STOCK as a turbo SR?

WOOO i was mentioned , HELL YES!!:ylsuper , anyway, no HE's not claiming that, he called 2 dealerships , and they seem to think this is what kind of power his car put out, i told him they probably thought it was the sr2odet, although i have NO idea why they would think that at a dealership?? and SYRE, where exactly in LA are u at?

Regardless of where he got the information, he is now presenting this as a fact. And he is being called out for it.

well come on mitch, you know its not true, you cant go around bragging about somehting u dont have, just accept the fact that your KA is the same as everyone elses and doesnt have 2oo+hp, youre def going to get flamed as everyone else knows nissan never made any kind of STOCK KA, taht puts 2oo+hp down

I live on the mississippi gulf coast (Long Beach) and we have lotsa 240 guys. There is even a guy over here with an SR20 swap. It's a little rough around the edges but it's still an SR20DET. My motor should be at my house sometime this month and the FMIC has finally shipped and will be here monday. Let me know if any of you guys wanna come over here to the coast. We have a couple interesting cars out saturday nights.

i don't mind the "truth" of the matter. the only reason i made the website was to see if there really was this upgrade i've been told by Northpark Nissan and Ray Brant Nissan if you want me to change the website i will. but the only thing i still don't get is that why is northpark Nissan offering me $21,500 for my car. I'll change my stats i guess tonight. please don't think i'm lieing because i'm not. i'm still a little confused about this supposedly rare upgrade i guess i should believe the rest of the 240 owners out there instead of Nissan. i guess they either read the wrong hp or its programed wrong on their computer.

try http://www.sportsnimports.com, its a good site, all louisiana or nearby, a lot of ricers compared to here, but also informative people none the less, and also, mitch, i dont hold it against you that you believed nissan, afterall it was TWO dealerships,but like i said earlier, if they will SERSIOUSLY give u that money for your car, give it to em!, i know you'd make money on that deal!

Every time I drive over to the MS gulf coast (bay st louis / pass / longbeach / gulfport ) etc I see more ricemobiles than ever

My friend drives a nice clean 91 teg and we always drive around laughing at the riceboys with a ****load of exterior work and stock internals.

Mitch, if you ever go to No Problem Raceway, give me a ringer, I might go out there with ya! BTW, whats the deal with the 220 HP KA? I'm not sure I've seen or heard the arguments. Is it possible that there was a flaw in the computer system to make the car have more raw HP than intended? Or some other kind of mistake by the factory?

I will hopefully have my KA pushing 200+ all motor, been reading some stuff on http://www.realnissan.com and has gotten my project blood flowing...maybe at the end of next year it will have a T3/T4 turbo...all I want is a 12 second 4 banger...lol...is that too much to ask?

i'm not quite sure of what happend still. the main thing that i could think of is that maybe it could go all the way back to the plant, because they said that they only found it when they ran the vin#. by the way i go to all the import tuner nights at no problem raceway. will have to meet up some time.

so it is possible that their was a defect that caused the engine to push more ponies then it was ever meant too, the plant dynos every engine and keeps all the records, so it is possible that the engine made right out the plant without anyone evre noticing something was fishy...just trying to give all the people who are saying "aw thats BS" a little idea of what could have happened...

If you guys wanna come to the gulf coast and maybe grab some luch or dinner or whatever and talk about cars i'm hoping to be into my swap toward the end of the month but before that would be ok. I'de be able to show you guys all the cool stuff in my garage! Maybe we could meet at the mississippi welcome center on I-10 or something? Tentitavely plan on the 28th? i'll try to round up some guys.

And yah there is a HUGE rice community here... but there are a few hatches that are actuially pretty nice. I'll also try to round up my old C-REX when we get togather...
