Loud whistling sound coming from the turbo after wastegate opens

Hello all. Well I noticed this loud whistling sound coming from the engine bay whenever I would get on it. The sound happens when I have reached full boost (3000rpm) and after the wastegate opens up. It gets louder as the rpm's climbs. Bbandit drove the car tonight also and thought it was probaly my turbo that was going bad. The only thing differently that I have done to the turbo recently is put a turbo blanket on the turbine. Tomorrow I am going to pull the blanket off and inspect the turbo. I was wondering is there anything I should look for to trouble shoot the problem or what do yall think might be the problem?

How is your boost pressure?.. does it drop/loose boost?.. That heat blanket may have made the turbo too hot to maintain.. and now it could have a hairline crack..

Check for a leak. Particularly after the wastegate if it's using an external one.
