Loud whining sound on my 1989 240sx help please!!!

idk what is going on i replaced the clutch the master cylidner and the slave cylinder i dont know what is going on it is really loud and annoying and i need to know is it is dangerous to drive! help please

does the sound still persist when the engine heats up? might be a small vacuum leak, check the hoses for cracks and what not. might be better if u can pinpoint where the sound is coming from exactly?

Best hope it's not the transmission whining like my auto did or it will die soon. Could you offer some more info on where the sounds coming from I assume the transmission since you are talking about changing clutch etc.

Check the Fluid in the transmission ( Auto/Manuel) aswell as The Differential fluid.

Do this if you can't determin the whin while driveing vvvvvvv Make sure you use jack stands for added secureity.

If the diff. is low it will whin really bad and could eventualy lock up. you could raise the rear with a jack, make sure your front tires are secure so the vehicle doesn't move. And then proceed, start the car put it in first and you can pin point the wine.

ok thank you i will check i cant really tell where it is coming from exactly just that it is really loud and annoying it sort of sounds like the throwout bearing to me but i will check thanks again

ok well then do you hear the noise while driveing or when your stationary ??

if it's while driveing the check the transmission and diff

ok so i drove it today and it only did it untill the car was driven for about an hour then it stopped you still think its the diff?

well now its more like a contant ticking very fast and faster whenever i hit the gas then i switch gears and it sounds like it seem to go along with the rpms mostly. any suggestions?

Have you even checked the Fluids ?? and you still haven't mentioned if it's Auto or manuel ??

lol oh sorry its a manual and yes i checked the fluid there fine. its really weird it doesnt seem to be hurting the car to much.

if you run the car down the street and lets say your at 15mph then cut the car off do you still hear it or does it stop when you cut the car off ?

lol to tell you the truth man ive never done that. but the weirdest things happen to it your probobly very intrigued with this problem because as much trouble as its causing me i can honestly say i am ha. but anyways it doesnt seem to stop like i said unless i drive it for about an hour to an hour in a half straight.
