Loud Tapping, KA engine stalls

Ok, so last thursday I was on a Highway during a massive downpour and my 91 240sx stalled out in water. We pushed the car off the road, let it sit a bit and were able to get it started. My car was sputtering so I drove home (about 10 mins away) and parked the car. I checked the oil and the oil was all brown and was mixed with water. I drained the oil, changed the oil three times until the oil was nice and clean. Now, my engine still makes a loud tapping sound, which turns into a high pitched whine/tapping at higher revs. Also, when my engine warms up, it wont idle. The revs drop from around 800 to 0 and sometimes stalls out. I have no clue what is wrong with my car and could use any advice at all. Thanks in advance

check the compression... water in oil is bad news...your problem may as well be serious... so i wouldnt recommend u drive it until u figure out ur problem.
