loud squeaky noise once?

Ok today i start my car fine to go wash it, and after i wash it i start it up again and i hear a loud squeaky noise last for about 5secs then goes away. But ever since it hasnt made that noise anymore. What is this noise and why it only do it once?

mine does that every time i wash my car. i think it's one of belts but i never worry about it. it's probably just a little water that got in there.

Check underneath it to make sure the splashguard is installed properly.

oh u know what, 1 of my splash gaurds came off a couple moths ago because it was rubbing on the tires and got all ripped up. Do you know where i can get them?

Try the old junkyard or I dont know why you can't fabricate somethingmade of "fireproof" material. Oh yeah your screws that hold it mightbe special so maybe you could use plastic screws if you think they won'tmelt until you find the real thing. I am using plastic toilet bolts to hold onthe air intake by the hood and they work well.

While the cover is off you might want to take the others off and cleanup under your car as Nissan recommends this(degreasing). If you havereplaced your CV joints and the boots tore you will have grease all overthe place under there.

Cover are VERY important to keep other things (road junk, deadanimals/nutria, etc) from getting caught up in your belts, alternator etc.and leaving you stuck.
