so on the way home from work tonight about 5 min from home my car stared to act weird and making a sound. really loud!

got a 92 240 coupe all stock

new clutch kit
clutch ms and slave cylinder
new oil in motor and trans, rp in both, i did rp cuz i thought i can use it to clean the motor a bit and change to m1

no more then 800 miles on the change of parts

so from stop the sound comes up, sounds like a stock car but not as orgasmic, or ticking head sound times 100, when going the sound will still be there till about 3k rpm, clutch in and feels like its vibrating and sounds come back.

now it does this from 1-3 gear and after those i can still feel the clutch till 4th and 5th its normal.

and when i let the car roll in N befor comming to a turn sound is back.

when i got home parked it running and trying to see if i can find where it commin from and sounds like its commin from trans and under hood sounds like its from the motor,

now i did look for the past hour, youtube to see if vids with problems like mine and ppl would just say u shouldnt drive a 240sx to the vid owner and some say rod or throw out bearing.

looked on forums for 240sx and other cars and theres saying rod and tob.

now i did have over heating probs before like a week after clutch kit change(tob, bushings, disk, pressure plate, resurfaced fw) but thats cuz my fan died, so replaced it like a month later, i didnt think it was a prob if the car was still moving but traf would make it over heat 2 bars before the red mark. why didnt i replace it? cuz i was to caught up with work and going out to have fun and doing what i like.

so it cant be a tob its a new toyo? forgot wat it was but something like that toyo toko? had it pressed for free at nappa amd clutch still grabs good

im thinking its the engine,

heres wat i think
broken rod will sit there and the crank would hit it, send vibration to trans shaft to tob to my clutch pedal yes i know theres more parts in between but im just making it simple to understand

so right now im F'ed! i have work and i travel 20-60 miles a day depending where i work and the nearest co worker is 20min away and i have to be the one who lives farther then them, luckly there a guy with a black top sr need wiring and ecu for 800 hes even selling is red top 240 for super cheap so i have a 52' tv i wanna trade still waiting if he want it why not? its a $1300 tv and i dont watch tv i rarly do.

so from wat i can explaine wat can u member of nico figure wats it is. i still want that sr but it a not for sure thing. and i dont wanna put money into anything that i dont need and end up being the wrong thing, i love this car since i was 15 and it has alot done to it the past 6 months to

ex. i used to have a 95 mustang gt 5.0 had a prob with random shut off while driving or at a light btw suck when ur about to go and car dies and wont start for a while, lost 400 in tows back home and many miss work days and sham.

took it to a local mustang shop all mustangs put 800 in repairs and new parts. still didnt fix it had my gf at the time father look it over and could not find a prob and hes knows fords, so after spending months with the prob and reading about how the electrical and feul system works i narrowed it down to a F-in pick up coil! a $10 part! so spent a day putting it in and redoing dizzy timming and then runs with no pron wat so ever sold it cuz i been looking for a 240 for 5 years and found the perfect one the one u look at and ur heart rushes and plus i got a hella deal from my cuz's best friend 1100 bucks no rust no dents and everything works minor probs like ex leak, cheap can paint job and full off dirt from sitting for a while had a thick layer of dirt took a 2 hrs to wash off and hard work.

sorry for being long thanks for readling this 22yr noob post but i love my nissans

Well I really did try to read what is going on so I could try to help, but I just ended up with a headache. You don't have to type it out like a text message on here, no 160 character limit on the interwebz dude!! Feel free to use real English. :)

From what I can see though, I would take it back to whoever did that clutch kit for you and tell them what's going on. If you did the work yourself, time to take the tools back out and take it apart. Best bet is to double check the work and make sure it's ok, and the follow the noise to whenever it may lead.

if you did the work yourself my guess is you put the throw out bearing in backwards.

even if you didn't do the work yourself, my guess is they put the throw out bearing in backwards.

Happens more often than you'd think.

At least from the post you've made, I've gathered that this noise is most common (or only noticeable?) when the clutch pedal is pushed in. If so, check the throw out bearing. You have to put it on so that the side that spins freely is against the pressure plate.
