Not sure if it's my brakes, becuase the scraping noise doesn't begin when braking. More like when the wheel is moving, it starts and stops randomly and pisses me off to no end.

Anyone have any ideas to what it is? It's just started recently and I haven't really had time to pull the wheel off and take a look.

I've figured out also, that once I jam on the brakes, and come to a complete stop. Only then will it stop, but it will start up again within minutes.

Sounds possibly like your brake pads are worn down to the point where the brake pad wear indicator(metal clip) rubs the rotor.Eventually it will get louder and louder..remove wheeel check pad..replace if its low.

Mine did that. It was the caliper siezed up and would apply constant pressure to the rotor. It will wear down one of your pads fast and cause a scraping noise. If that is your problem, all I can say is have fun.

or.. the metal dust plate thingy that sits behind the rotor can be touching the rotor, its very bendable and can easily be bent to where it can touch the rotor

^^^Thats what I would be guessing, and if its griding that means you will probably need new rotors, take the wheel off and see if you can see goudging on the rotor. Also you might try taking off the caliper bolts and checking to see if there is still some grease in the boot around the sliding pin....

Solved. Took off the wheel and found that the sliding pin has seized, causing basically what slipstream had said.

Heated up the metal, trying my hardest not to burn that rubber boot! And it seemed to loosen up enough for me to slide out and lube up. I didn't however at the time, figure that I should have replaced the caliper knuckle bolts. Does anyone know if these are a standard bolt? Or would I require a new caliper to get these.

Are you talking about the two 17mm bolts? I believe you can take them to a hardware store and get them replaced. It's a pretty standard size though, a dealer should have them in stock. They'll probably give them to you actually if you go before closing, they get anxious to get out. I've scored wheel studs, lug nuts, and miscellaneous other bolts like that.
