Loud Rattle

I haven't driven my 240 in a couple of weeks just cause its not my Daily Driver. So over the weekend I change the oil with Mobil 1 like I always do and started the car. I start hearing a Rattle when I rev it like the sound a loose heat shield makes when it taps the exhaust. I put my ear to it and it sounds like it is coming from behind my headers. I pull my headers off and the valves look fine I do a compression test and its 170 all across. Next I pull the header off and fire it up and of course the engine is loud but I don't hear the rattling. So I install new Exhaust gaskets and put the header back on and don't you know the sound comes back So does anyone have any suggestions before I spend my whole weekend pulling the Motor?

Pull off the valve cover and check on the timing chain guides?Thousands of 240s die from broken timing chain guides.

I removed the Upper guide 2 years ago but I never removed the side guide. Thanks for the suggestion I think I'll take a look at that.
