Loud engine

I dont know if it is a problem or not because since i have owned the car it has been this way. It is a 93 NA MT1) Well when i start the car it is very loud kinda like a roaring sound and it seems to also have a really windy sound then after about a minute or two it switches to a nice sound which is what i think z's should sound like. This is all pretty normal to me because of the warm loop cold loop thing but the strange thing is it will change back to the loud sound quite often. about everyother time i come to stop and start going again. I have no idea what it could be2) I will also notice power changes alot. Sometimes it will be really powerful and other times it wont be. Thanx

Have you checked your fan clutch lately? Sounds like it is locked up.

yup I was thinking the same thing, sounds like the fan clutch is locking up
