Hey all.. FIrst of all I searched for a turbo stick but I couldn't find one so I'm asking you. I have a 97 Kouki with about 140k miles on it. The engine runs strong on an OEM clutch. Here she is:



I am saving up for a blacktop but untill I can save up I want to get a T25 Turbo Kit. I have a lot of questions about Turbo Setups, Firstly My engine runs strong, Do you think I need to rebuild my engine for a T25 turbo running low boost? If so, What is commonly replaced to prep for Boost? I heard that I should have: an oil cooler, fuel pump (255lp?), Fuel Injectors (What cc?), Boost controller (How much PSI would my turbo run at without the Boost controller??), upgraded ECU. Please let me know Which one of These things I ABSOLUTELY NEED and anything I didn't mention. What will happen if I don't have them. Also is a T25/T28 Turbo better? Please Chime in with your two cents. Thank you All !!

..Why waste 2000$ for a KA-t when you want to swap the engine? Just save and swap, The T25 setup isnt worth the effort

for a true t25 setup heres the list

-JWT / Enthalpy ecu-minimum 370cc injectors (OEM nissan SR20DET / VH45DE / VG30DETT)-225lph fuel pump-(you can still use the OE MAF)-SR20det T25 with elbows-Megan racing T25 turbo manifold with downpipe/dump tube-Dump tube has to be extended about 1.5" to reach downpipe because the KA's exhaust manifold sits about 1.5" higher than the SR)-godspeed Front mount intercooler setup with piping-blow off valve of your choice mounted on the hotpipe-MAF adapter with cone/mushroom filter-Oil lines for turbo-oil drain line with bung for oil pan-Coolant lines for turbo (unless you want to burn out the bearings in 6 months)-A bunch of silicone connectors, Vaccum cable, nuts/bolts

That would be a pretty good basic setup.. to go wild, swap the t25 for a GTI-R T28, and throw in some 740cc injectors.

Im sure i forgot a couple things, but that should take care of most of it.
