Hey Guys,

Lately during idle, I've been getting more smoke then usual. It doesn't smell of coolant and from my pov it doesnt look too white or too blue. Plumes of smoke will shoot out and nearly cover the rear when I rev the engine to 5 - 6k

I checked for chocolate milkshake in the dip stick but it looked pretty normal. However, when I took off the intake I did notice oil in the pipe and when I took off the Turbo Inlet there was a little pool of oil sitting right at the spool. The spool is solid with no play at all.

Now I definately know that a oil seal is done for and that could possibly explain the smoke. But I've been searching around for Turbo t25 oil seals and the only thing I get back are oil seals for the sr20det.

Will a rebuild kit fix this problem or should I look for a gasket kit to rectify this?

Any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks!

it sounds like a seal and if it is needing a rebuild, it would be fine on a t25. just not a BB unit. Some people will just pawn the turbo off on a someone who has experience rebuilding and some will rebuild on their own. I have never done it but I have been told its not hard at all. It just takes time.

I would check the downpipe to see if oil is collecting their as well. Also be sure to check your spark plug seals too. I have seen people get leaky spark plug seals and the motor starts to act funny and nasty pumes of oil get into the chamber. This usually results in more than just smoke.

but if you still have a wheel in the turbo and it still turns then it seems like there is hope.

you move the shaft and see if it's loose? lol

I've been tyring to find the seals for the turbo but nothing's come up so far. Can I order this from nissan with the part number if I find one?

So far I've found this on ebay and it seems pretty overpriced for a small peice of rubber http://cgi.ebay.com/GARRETT-TU...l1177

Does anyone know where theres a exploded diagram of the t25?

Thanks!
