1.When I have the key turned to acc. should the 2 diagnostic lights (red & Green) on the ecu be lit up? 2. Also, I have an hks turbo timer type-0 w/ harness, I know the harness needs to be plugged into the harness underneath the steering column, but what about the other 3 or four wires coming off of it? 3.Also, is there any way I can check my wiring on my Ka24e S13 to s13 ca18det with an auto-to-manual conversion without starting the engine up. I dont have the turbo, and radiator hooked up. Are there signs to show me that i did the wiring right without having to start it up... 4. Also, for some reason my "brake" and "check seatbelt"indicator light is staying on even without the key in or the car being turned on..i didnt know if this had something to do with the wiring, the turbo timer not being fully hooked up, or the lack of me doing something right on the auto to manual conversion.. Sorry this is alot...but please help!!!

It will be very hard for anyone around here to help you! Sounds like a bad wiring job to me and only the person that did the wiring can troubleshoot his/her work. You're not the 1st to experience issues and you probably won't be the last.

1. I do not believe the ECU should have power (and therefor light its diag lights) until you have it in ign or start.

2. no idea, most likely the general installation is not CA specific so you can try checking on any info for SRs etc w/ that, wiring itself might be CA specific but the general howto shouldn't be

3. it would be slow and painful - test that each pin on each connector has continuity to everyplace it needs to (using the FSM diagrams) and nothing else

4. The seatbelt computer may light the brake light also w/ the seatbelt one? I removed mine so I'm not sure, check the FSM diagrams on the seatbelt section and see if it includes the brake light. (brake section won't show that connection to seatbelt system if it is there). could be a wiring screwup or normal, but I've not had autobelts for years now. Go canadian junkyard imports!
