lots of problems

So. i finaly got my 240sx all back together. try and start it. Have a few problems.

there are NO dash lights on, NO dummy lights on, NO tail light or brake lights. headlights work...but dont flip up.

The motor cranks and is getting gas but no spark."spark plugs coverd with gas"

when i picked up the car the harness looked like this...

I took it out of the car connected and solder every wire back to the way it should be. im 95% sure that every wire is hooked up to the right one.

car has a brandnew trans harness on it becaus ethere was nothing left of the old one.

the car is soposeto have ran good. but the little ricer that owned it befor me had his way with it...

any ideas?

kinda sounds like my harness was. what was his reason for it being all fubar'd? btw, theres no pic. And if you thought your DSM was full of problems, like mine... well, its just began. but you already know that

should be a pic now... anyway.. i guess it was chopped up for a rb25 swap. not the right way obviously

get out your DVOM and start checking wires for correct placement and voltage

Im have an idea of why its not sparking, but im pretty lost about the other stuff. sounds like a fuse but i checked them all

You are missing some info, is this part 2 to something??? Sounds like you just swapped the engine, maybe.....or bought the car like this.....provide more info on the situation. About the wiring job....man I hate to tell you this, that looks bad. I looks like you are still working on it, but you need to make sure that you have good connections. Butt connectors are not very reliable when it comes to engine signals and conductivity. My suggestion is to check all connections, redo connections with solder and heat shrink. And secure all wiring as neatly as possible.....

YAY it runs, now i need to figer out the lighting problem... any help? i checked the TCU and fuses

I know this might be too obvious, but who knows - did you check the actual bulbs?

UPDATE ok so i got it runing better.. grounded the yellow/red TCU wire same thing... no lights or power anywhere in the car. rev it up to about 5k just to clear it out abit the wipers come to life and everything works fine but the power windows.
