Hey guys. I can speak for myself that I'm not an iPod person, but I bought one strictly for the G37 so I could use the iPod integration instead of just using one of my other MP3 players and fumbling around with the mp3 player controls while driving. I found out a cheap and simple way to be able to get millions of songs for $10 a month (as in using Napster... not Rhapsody).
1. Get a Napster account (you don't need "to Go" I believe since you just need the music). Just get the $10 a month one (that's what I use and that's why I'm going by). 2. Buy Tunebite (it's a program where you convert protected DRM songs... like what Napster and Rhapsody uses... into unprotected MP3 songs). It's I believe $24.95 for the premium edition. 3. Download any Napster songs that you would want on your iPod into a designated folder. You could just use the My Music or if you want to keep things more organized... you could just put in subfolders (as in Set 1, Set 2, Set 3). I use those subfolders strictly for converting music using Tunebite in bulk. 4. Open up Tunebite and add a folder (that's where the help of subfolders come in) and convert the music.5. Open up iTunes after you have converted songs and add the converted music folder(s) into your music library. 6. Connect your iPod and sync.
I'm using this method to bypass using iTunes and any P2P sharing network to get songs onto my iPod. This whole method is completely legal. So far I have about 600 songs on my iPod and I have paid a total of $9.95 (Napster, monthly charge)+ $24.95 (Tunebite, one charge) for the music. You can't get into any trouble with the police and you don't have to pay $.99 per song.
Once the music is converted, it's yours forever. So if you have converted like 50,000 songs and you don't want anymore. Just cancel your Napster subscription! That way if you converted all of those songs in less than a month, you will have paid just $9.95+$24.95 for them!
