are those butt connectors extending your mafs wires? If so i'm betting the rest of the swap was done with similar "talent".

Also power not coming on could mean a million things, does it rev to redline, does it fall on its face, hows idle, part throttle... explain the problem

lol sorry i was just messin around. my turbo blew so i put the t25 hot side on.i was expecting a low compression rb20de to be slow but wow if i was racing a smart car and geo metro i know for a fact i wouldnt win.

and about the maf wiring, my motorset didnt come with a maf and cut maf wires so i rigged that up.

Well "rig" it up with shielded wire. Do the same for the o2 sensor wires. You can pillage some from your ka harness; it can be time consuming.

I have no inputs since you didn't give near enough information to work on, but am I correct in thinking you believe the n/a RB's have lower compression than the turbo versions? It's backwards if that is indeed what you think.

lol. like i said before i was just playing around. THERES NO TURBO!!! so its all lag. so im posting because even tho i was expecting a 15 year old 8.5-1 compression 2ltr to be slow, i was still surprised.

and yes cjmartz2k i would expect the rb20e or rb20de to have more than 8.5-1 if not id rather have a mule as a powerplant option.

theres a dyno up the street from me, i might put it on just for fun.

heres an outlined pic just to be clear.

at the time i wired it i didnt feel like hunting down a male connector for the stock maf(mine came cut and didnt have a maf connector). i soldered butt connecters to the maf side and filled the socket with resin so i could still remove the maf if needed. a temp fix that worked well. some people think a S14 is what jesus would look like if he was a car. i think its a beater and treat it as such.

and yes thats shielded wire.
