New to the forum and the Nissan/infiniti world and I have a lot of questions. First off I have been researching for a few days (not a lot on here)since I bought the car on Saturday and can't seem to find answers. Sort of like the passenger front drive shaft I can not find which leads me to my first question any good places to order these from none of the parts stores in Maine can get these except the 600 dollar infititi dealer. A little about the car its black and stock except for the stillen exhaust that came on it. Also I apologize if I am all over the place tired and a little frustrated about the cv shaft. With that being said I like the car so much in the whole 5 days and maybe 50 miles I have driven it that I have looked at some rwd sedans. I have read that you can turbo it but its a royal PITA, however all the superchargers I can find are for the g35 and not the x. I would assume they would fit but would like some input. Which with a supercharger means transmission, I read the stock auto can handle near 400 (there any truth to this?) although I doubt mine can with 217k. So I guess the questions would be a is a 6speed conversion possible to do cost effectively and or are there heavy duty auto transmissions? Also its the same block as the 4.0 but the 4.0 has the same horsepower anybody stroked there's and what gains did get. Sorry about the long winded rant but all help would be appreciated.

Rockauto.com has the front half shafts for $67.79 plus $25 core charge.

Superchargers SHOULD be the same between the 2 models. I'll wait for someone else to chime in about that though. Maybe the front diff/trans can't handle the power like the RWD models can. :gotme

Thanks papasmurf, I checked rockauto and for some reason the right front is impossible to get and it has to be sent out to be rebuilt. So I guess I will have to keep looking for a shaft because rockautos only option is to rebuild the original.

There are tons of ebay parts available due to the hurricane damaged/salvage cars. Some parts should be fine buying used off of them.

I don't see any real differences between X and non-X SC/TT systems either.

GTM has stroker kits for the VQ37: http://www.gtmotorsports.com/product.ph ... 385&page=1
