So I've been fighting this problem for a while now, and it's really starting to irritate me. About a year ago I was driving to FL to Daytona 500, and I noticed that a bunch of lights on the dash were slowly starting to light up. The ABS, Brake, ALT, and front Headlight lights on the dash are on, and they stay on ALL the time. So I assumed alternator and went to Advance since I didn't have any tools with me, and they tested the alternator. It tested fine, so I had him test it again. Nope, fine. So I haven't been able to figure this out and this week I am bound and determined to fix this!!

The lights tend to come and go sometimes as well. I can drive over a bump and they will go out, then come back on moments later. Another symptom is that the low pressure switch for my A/C does not recieve a ground like it's supposed to. So I have a wire run from the switch to inside the car and when I want A/C I ground it to my cig lighter, lol. It's ghetto-fab, but it works. So anyway, the other day the lights went off for a min, and I quickly pushed my A/C button and lo and behold, it worked! So I am convinced I either have a ground problem, or a bad ECU. Also my cruise control doesn't work, but I am unsure if that is related.

I currently have most of interior ripped out as I trace down every ground I can find, especially the ones related to these systems. I have already cleaned two corroded grounds, but no joy. My car is a convertible and it does have a hole in the back window, which I have patched, so my main focus has been in the areas where water may have been. Also, my car has a 95ish Infiniti engine in that was swapped in by an idiot and I have had to fix a lot of things he didn't do right.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I have nearly memorized these wiring diagrams and the ones that Lee guy made, (Which are AWESOME, btw), and I am at my wit's end!!

Thanks, Daniel.

Check your EFI harness grounds in the engine bay. Check the grounding lug on the alternator. check the white wire which attaches to the + battery terminal for corrosion.
