My girlfriend purchased a 2010 Altima sedan SL just a couple days ago and when she tried out the USB port it didn't work. We tried her Ipod, my phone and a thumb drive that lights up when plugged in. Nothing worked and the thumb drive received no power. When I called the dealership they said it was probably in lot storage mode and to push in the white button by the passenger fuse panel. I don't know if I am blind but I cannot find this button anywhere and hours of searching through the owners manual and online I can only find one post on an apple forum about this and it describes the same white button that I can't find.

Has anyone had this issue or can better describe where this white button is besides on the left side of the fuse panel?

Maybe you should take it back to the dealership as they should fix this issue.

The dealership is talking about the extended storage switch, and it is really easy to see. It's a big white fuse in the fuse panel that's inside the cabin near where the driver sits. According to the TSB about it (NTB 10-124), Nissan did not start shipping Altimas with them until December 2010 so it's very likely that the car you're looking at simply does not have it or it was replaced with a regular fuse at some point.

I'm thinking it has either a bad USB connector/cable or the headunit is bad. You are trying to plug things in when the radio is on, correct?
