Lost Power Steering!

09' Coupe, happen again today (4/23/2014). 1st time appear few months ago had Nissan dealership check for problem and inspect the vehicle, came out nothing. Check engine light and other lights come on during the lost of power steering. Restarting the vehicle seem to temporarily resolve the issue.

This could potentially cause accident. Any member experience same or similar issue. Let the discussion begin!

did the vehicle turn off as well? almost sounds you have a battery issue.

Battery. Doubt it.. the vehicle runs n drive fine when lost the powersteer. Weird I kno

Well if the vehicle runs fine, then it's most likely the pump going bad.

That's what I suspect at 1st. Had stealership do full inspection, they find nothing. Also if the pump is going bad, it shoulnt just lose powersteering while the vehicle is operating.

The pump make no whining noise.

intermittent seizing? i dunno...

I have no idea.. the list of powersteer is random. I dont recall any patterns.
