I have a 2005 Nissan Armada that just turned 70000 miles. Getting on the interstate today it sputtered almost like it wasn't getting gas. I pulled over waited a minute and merged back on, it did fine. Thought, fuel filter. Later on merging on again it did the same thing except this time I had the room (not a lot of traffic) to figure out it felt as if it couldn't get into 5th gear. It was holding steady at 3600 rpm's and it felt like it was trying to get into gear and that is what was causing the sputtering. Around town and the rest of the time the transmission shifts smoothly and when it should, this only started today and on the interstate when I am picking up speed to merge on. The rest of the interstate travel is smooth and fine. Husband said the transmission may need to be serviced I have a feeling it's a band. Any thoughts and ideas of cost?????Thanks
UPDATEWe added transmission fluid because it was low and it has not fixed the issue. I am pretty much giving up and going to have it towed to Nissan. OUCH. Meanwhile because my Husband wanted a Suburban and considered me a trader I am getting a lot from him in the way of "if we had gotten the Suburban this wouldn't be happening." <sigh>
