Hello. I lost the lug nut special tool. Anybody know where can I get a replacement and what it's called? I was in a hurry replacing my all season and I forgot that the tool is still on the tire when I drove away.

are you talking about the key to your wheel locks?

you'd need the code that they came with. i doubt the dealer has this (ask me how i know lol). best bet is to remove them and go to your local junk yard for 4 normal lugnuts - as they are 100% useless against theft. see my video below:

Thanks for the info and video. Looks like this is going to give me a hard time. I'll contact McGard as well just in case. I called my local dealer and they said that they will get the key/tool for me and let me know when it arrives. I forgot to ask for the price though so if they call back and ask for a hefty price. I'll just tell them to keep it.

You can get a replacement wheel lock set from any Nissan dealer by simply bringing them your VIN. You cannot just get the key and the set is pretty expensive. If the lock isn't that important to you I would suggest just switching the locks out for regular lugnuts which are about $5 each. Hope this helps!

I just use a 12 point socket (cheap kind) and a 3 lb hammer. Hammer the socket over the locking lug nut, it has to fit real tight, then hit it with my air impact. Usually comes off on the first try. Ruins the socket so use a Chinesium brand don't use your good Mac or snap on . To complete the process you toss the old lockers in the garbage and replace with a regular lug nut.

while that method works... it ruins your socket. who wants that? now you have an incomplete set. that would annoy me to no end.

i went and bought REAL wheel lock remover sockets. 2 that fit almost all wheel locks, for less than $20.
(see the video i posted above of me using them)
