Hi guys.

I have a big problem. I lost the key chain with my last remote on it. I cant start the car now because it is armed. Is there a way to shut off the immobilizer with the key? I cant just l leave it in the street.

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then re-connect with the key turned to the start or steering wheel lock release position. Hopefully it will reset, and you can drive away with just the key. Unfortunately, you may have to do this every time you want to start the car; if this works, get it over to your dealership or locksmith for a more permanent solution. Let us know what happens.

Found the keys after retracing everywhere i had gone that day. I came back, disarmed the car and started it.

Just for giggles i tried to start the car with the other key. Guess what. It would not start. I took the key i had found, armed the car waited and used THAT key to open the car and start the car. No problem at all.

I cant decide what part of this is the weirdest. The fact that my spare key fits and turns but does not work or that Nissan would make a 2004 with remote keyless AND chipped keys.

I had a Mercedes M AMG and my spare key wouldn't work. The engine would turnover and then die. The dealership said it didn't recognize the spare as well as the original key, so it thought I was trying to steal the car - yeeaaaah.
