Lost in space (inre Infiniti M35X)

It finally turned real cold here in Minnesota. This afternoon, after the car had been outside for 4 hours, I started the car and found the Navagation was lost in space - putting me about 15 miles from where I was - in the middle of nowhere. It stayed there and never found me. The GPS logo was green the full time. I ended up using the button to pull the focus way out, and after 20 minutes it finally corrected.

If there was anything mechanical, I would say it finally thawed, but as far as I know it does not. I have seen it get and stay lost for a short while before.

What gives?
